Most Memorable Movie Quotes of All Time

Some movies are remembered not just by their greatness but also by a single quote that people suddenly begin using in their every-day speech or simply wait for the opportunity to use that quote as a punchline. Movie writers and directors invest extra effort to come up with a memorable retort or line in their movies, because they know the power of that one magic line that people will repeat and inspire other to see that particular movie. There are also some slots games based on movies which include famous quotes in the gameplay. Check out some of these pretty entertaining titles at

So we will go over few of the most memorable movie quotes of all time.

Just as William Wallace (Mel Gibson) is riling his army to clash with that of the English, he gives an amazing speech about freedom that whips the Scots up in a frenzy. Wallace ends his speech with the memorable line: “They may take our lives, but they’ll never take our freedom!”

Taxi Driver

You may have guessed this one from the get-go. It is one of the most famous quotes of all times – a one-off thing that stuck in people’s minds forever. Even those who haven’t seen the film have somehow heard the quote. We have the wacky Travis Bickle looking at himself in the mirror, holding a pistol, and priming himself to confront a nasty thug out to rob him. “You talkin’ to me?”

The Terminator

The first of the series is perhaps most popular because of one quote. Said in the right moment in time to freeze the attention of all moviegoers, the quote we are about to write is the shortest of the most memorable movie quotes ever. The terminator checks out whether the police station front desk can be penetrated and says “I’ll be back” and comes back few seconds later with a car crashing through the window.

Forrest Gump

Forrest is the sweetest guy in the world. Honest and kind, means no harm and always tells the truth. The most memorable quote from this movie is one is a conventional wisdom that anyone should remind themselves, and often too. This quote reminds you that sometimes you need to step back, relax and accept how certain things turned out in life. So what is it that Forrest’s mama told him so that he is stress-free and cheerful? – “My mama always said life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get” and we can all abide by that.

There is a fist-sized diamond, fixed boxing matches and a suggestion that someone should rob a bookies. It all goes wrong for too many of the protagonists in this movie, which by the way, has a ton of dynamite quotes. It had to be on the list, but choosing the one quote from it proved a difficult task. Anyway, Vinny, Sol and Tyrone are in the car with the latter at the driving wheel. As he tries to get out of the car, his leather jacket rubs against the frame and he finds it difficult to lift his portly stature from the seat. Vinny and Sol exchange few jabs about Tyrone being a (bad) getaway driver, when Vinny says, “I thought you said he’s getaway driver? What the f**ck can he get away from?” to which Sol says, “he can move when he has to.” This is just a great way to end a ridiculous dialogue between the three and the dog.
